Emerging from the mountains of eastern Pennsylvania, Joey Lannigan is swiftly making a name in the country music scene with a blend of traditional roots, compelling lyrics, and modern storytelling. Carrying a voice that echoes the classics of country music and a style that’s uniquely his own, Joey brings authenticity and passion to each and every performance and song he writes.

Joey’s musical journey was inspired by the raw sound of Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers, as well as classic country legends like Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings. These influences shaped a sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh, blending timeless country traditions with contemporary sensibilities. His soulful melodies and reflective lyrics create an authentic fusion of folk, country, and alternative music.

With a thunderous voice described as “whiskey with the perfect amount of honey”, Joey began performing locally in the winter of 2023, and quickly gained both local and national media attention for his high energy, heartfelt performance. In the summer of 2024, he formed the 4 piece band “Joey Lannigan & The Spirits”, adding elements of folk, americana, and psychadelic rock, to an already stellar show.

From singing in local bars, to performing at community events around the country, Joey has always had a deep connection to the stories and emotions that define country music. Drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of rural life, as well as a personally resilient childhood, his songs resonate with honesty and heartfelt emotion. Joey’s songs explore themes of love, loss, and the quiet moments that shape life.

Joey is currently touring across the tri state area, both solo, and with The Spirits.
